Survival in the Palm of your Hand
The AquaFix 406 is easily stored in a pack or on a life jacket; small enough to wear on deck by yachting racers, crew, solo cruisers, or any marine enthusiast. You can carry it all the time. At a mere 5.71" H, 3.03" W, 1.74" D, and weight of only 12 ozs. This is the smallest and lightest P-EPIRB around. The ACR AquaFix 406 P-EPIRB also comes standard with a durable rubber 'holster' which allows the user to attach the P-EPIRB to webbing straps, carabiners, D-Rings, PFDs, belts or climbing harnesses. Flat stainless steel antenna wraps compactly around the unit for easy stowage; is easily positioned when needed.
ACR AquaFix 406 w/GPS Interface and Internal GPS
The AquaFix 406 GPS I/O P-EPIRB features an internal GPS, ACR's exclusive FastACQ GPS technology and an external GPS optical interface, the AquaFix 406 GPS I/O P-EPIRB gives the user unparalled versatility. This P-EPIRB can include GPS coordinates in the emergency satellite transmission via a handheld GPS, using the optical interface OR using the onboard, internal GPS built right into the P-EPIRB. The internal GPS aquires LAT/LON when the unit is activated (if externally obtained GPS coordinates are not present). ACR's FastACQ technology relays accurate GPS information to the satellites faster than all other internal GPS P-EPIRBs. Your LAT/LON are transmitted providing rescue agencies your exact position to within 110 yards (100 m).
ACR AquaFix P-EPIRBs are made to exceed the rigorous testing standards of COSPAS-SARSAT, FCC, NOAA and the U.S. Air Force Rescue Coordination Center, for:
- durability
- waterproof (to 33 ft)
- floatation
- high visibility
- extreme operating temperatures at a minimum of 24 hours at -20C (longer at warmer ambient temperatures).
- Complete with a 5 year Lithium Battery and a 5 year warranty.
